Terms of service
Last updated October 15, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Webgrep for the use of this site, its API and its other services. By using them you accept these terms. If you use them for an organisation, you accept them on its behalf.
The service
The service searches the public source code of websites collected by our crawler, and adds what it can work out from it: technologies, tracking IDs, published contacts, infrastructure. It reflects what sites served when they were crawled, which may since have changed, and fingerprints can be mistaken. It is provided "as is", without any warranty of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.
Your account
Keep your account and API token to yourself; you are responsible for what is done with them. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put the service at risk.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service or its data for anything unlawful, including unsolicited bulk email or messages in breach of anti-spam or privacy law;
- use contact details from the service without a lawful basis under the data protection law that applies to you;
- use the data to attack, break into or probe systems you are not authorised to test, or to harass or harm anyone;
- get around plan limits, scrape the site instead of using the API, or resell access to the service as such;
- interfere with the service, including by overloading it.
You are responsible for how you use what you find. Data about a website belongs, where it belongs to anyone, to that website and its owners.
Plans and payment
Paid plans are sold and billed by Whop, under its terms, and renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Whop; the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Limits for each plan are listed on the pricing page. We may change plans and prices for future periods, with notice.
The API
The API is part of the service and subject to these terms and your plan's limits. Do not share your token or build a public mirror of the index.
Sites in the index
Site owners can stop our crawler with robots.txt and can ask for a site to be removed, as described on the crawler page. How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Webgrep is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data, and its total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend access if you break these terms, or stop offering the service with reasonable notice.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; if a change matters, we will say so on this page and, for account holders, by email, before it applies.
